Sky Spy and Evolve Dynamics partner to demonstrate UAS-based SIGINT system with French Armed Forces

May 29, 2026

29/05/2026 – Sky Spy and Evolve Dynamics have announced a partnership to integrate and test UAS-based SIGINT systems that enhance RF spectrum awareness for military users, following a successful demonstration with the French Armed Forces earlier this month.

The exercise, organised by France’s Cyber Defence Command, saw Sky Spy’s autonomous portable SIGINT system, SkyAgent 001, integrated with Evolve Dynamics’ Sky Mantis 2 rotary-wing UAS in an electromagnetic ‘capture the flag’ scenario. During the exercise, French personnel observed the system detecting, classifying and geolocating all high-priority emitters in the scenario, demonstrating how airborne RF sensing can extend collection range and help users detect emitters deeper into the battlespace than ground-based systems alone.

The demonstration forms part of a wider partnership to integrate Sky Spy’s family of SIGINT systems across Evolve Dynamics’ UAS portfolio. The companies will now begin integrating the capability onto smaller tactical UAS such as Wolfe-NATO, alongside continued demonstrations and testing to support personnel seeking greater awareness and control of the electromagnetic spectrum. Sky Spy’s systems are designed to feed RF intelligence into wider ISR and command-and-control workflows, supporting integration with other battlefield management systems.

The partnership reflects growing demand from allied militaries for reliable, deployable signal intelligence as the electromagnetic spectrum becomes increasingly contested. Established in 2024, Sky Spy is an American-Estonian company building next-generation SIGINT solutions that allow armed forces to detect, classify and locate hostile emitters in saturated and contested electromagnetic environments. The war in Ukraine has highlighted a clear operational problem: unreliable intelligence can cost lives, particularly when personnel cannot detect or locate high-priority emitters beyond the reach of ground-based sensors. Sky Spy’s lightweight, GPS-independent system has now been used on the front line across multiple combat missions.

Arsenii Hurtavtsov, CEO of Sky Spy, said: “Our partnership with Evolve Dynamics demonstrates the interoperability of Sky Spy’s platform with leading UAS manufacturers, and its ability to give military users an advantage in spectrum awareness. We have gone from concept to live demonstrations in less than two years and are now supporting European armed forces with systems shaped by lessons from Ukraine. We are excited to continue this collaboration as we work together to develop and deploy systems at the pace required by allied forces.”
Tom Redman, CEO of Evolve Dynamics, said: “In embarking on this partnership with Sky Spy, we combine shared frontline experience from Ukraine with our expertise integrating new capabilities into UAS for modern operators. Through joint trials led from our Kyiv facility and recent NATO demonstrations, we’ve integrated advanced electronic sensing capabilities onto our platforms, enabling operators to detect and locate hostile RF activity, including drone operators and jammers. The result is a new layer of battlefield awareness for forces operating in contested environments."
Lieutenant-colonel Élie Fontana, Head of the GCEM Unit, Cyber Defence Command (COMCYBER) said: “During the GALENE exercise, Sky Spy demonstrated a lightweight airborne SIGINT capability, able to detect, classify, and geolocate multiple emitters in complex electromagnetic conditions. The system shows clear operational potential for tactical spectrum awareness in modern military operations, proving the team skills and highlighting the need for complete and efficient solutions in armed forces.”

About Sky Spy

Sky Spy is an American-Estonian multi-domain spectrum intelligence company developing autonomous, battle-proven SIGINT systems that help military users detect, classify, and geolocate hostile emitters in real time across saturated and GPS-denied signal environments.

The company’s first application, SkyAgent, turns drones into radio spectrum intelligence assets for tactical operations. Sky Spy is building a broader family of spectrum intelligence systems across airborne, ground, maritime, and space domains for civilian and military sectors, powered by the propriotory technological suite.

About Evolve Dynamics

Founded in 2016, Evolve Dynamics’ ambition is to shape a safer and more secure future through the delivery of unparalleled autonomous Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) solutions. Committed to revolutionising defence, security and infrastructure through innovation and collaboration, our primary focus is on advancing automation, enhancing survivability, and the integration of state-of-the-art technologies. We’re focused on giving our customers the tools they need to gather critical intelligence, defend national borders, and enhance the effectiveness of first responders.

Following the occupation of Crimea by Russian forces in 2014, the company was founded and dedicated to providing UAS support to the Ukrainian military. Evolve Dynamics has since grown substantially and now has more than 60 team members across the UK and Ukraine, serving customers worldwide in multiple industry areas including defence, security and infrastructure.
